BATHERS WAY WORK MOVING FORWARD

Work is underway on the next leg of Newcastle’s Bathers Way.

The plan is to complete a shared walking and bike path from Merewether to Nobbys.

Earthmoving equipment has begun work on the Strzelecki to King Edward Park section, which includes widening the pathway and realigning the park entry, and carpark.

Newcastle Council believes the completed project will rival Sydney’s famed Bondi to Bronte walk.
