METHAMPHETAMINE SEIZED AFTER MID NORTH COAST CRASH

Police have uncovered half of kilogram of methamphetamine, after seizing a vehicle involved in an accident on the state’s Mid North Coast.
Emergency services were called to the Pacific Highway at Nambucca Heads at around 6:30 yesterday morning, finding a Toyota Corolla which had hit a safety barrier.
The 26-year-old driver of the car was arrested, with a search of the vehicle uncovering the illicit drug.
He was taken to Macksville Police Station and charged with supply prohibited drug – commercial quantity.
A fuel drum containing a clear liquid chemical was also seized, and will undergo further examination.
