WOMAN ARRESTED AFTER ATTEMPTING TO BRIBE POLICE OFFICER

Further charges are expected to be laid against a 30-year-old woman, after she was caught attempting to bribe a police officer on the Central Coast.
Officers stopped a Holden Commodore on the M1 motorway at Calga, just before midday yesterday, issuing the driver with a defect notice.
It’s alleged while the officer was awaiting the arrival of other police the woman approached him, offering money for her release.
The conversation was recorded by the officers in-car camera.
It’s further alleged the woman returned a positive reading for Methylamphetamine.
She was refused bail, and will reappear in Wyong Bail Court today.
