NORTHS HANG ON TO TOP SPOT IN HUNTER COAST HOCKEY

In Round 18 of Hunter Coast Premier Hockey,  Gosford belted Uni, Wests beat Maitland, while Norths outclassed their bitter rivals.

Missing a host of rep stars, Souths trailed three nil at half time, before Ky Willott made it four early in the second half.

Rory Walker and Shaun Frazer then combined to make it five-nil.

With time running out, Souths gave their supporters something to cheer about.

Norths keeper Shaun O’Brien made some impressive late saves to ensure the boys in blue would retain top spot on the ladder.
