A high speed chase on the Tweed took a twist overnight, when police found a toddler and drugs in the car they were chasing.
A 23-year-old man refused to stop on the Pacific Highway at Cudgera Creek, where he was spotted speeding, shortly after 11.
The pursuit, which reached speeds of up to 170-kilometres an hour, only ended when road spikes were deployed.
The man was charged under Skye’s Law.
