GLOUCESTER RESIDENT CHARGED FOLLOWING CSG PROTEST

A 50-year-old man has been charged with trespass, following a protest at AGL’s coal seam gas project in Gloucester.
Resident Brett Jacobs chained himself onto one of the access gates to the Waukivory pilot project at around 8am.
It’s alleged he then entered the site and attempted to disrupt workers.
Three others have been fined for trespassing.
The demonstration comes after AGL began delivering equipment to the site yesterday, where the company has approval to frack and produce gas from four wells.
They’re part of stage one of the project, which includes 110 wells.
