A street in Boambee East was in lockdown today, as police negotiated with a person of interest.
A 25-year-old man wanted for firearms offences was taken into police custody just after 2pm, from a property on Borrowdale Crescent.
He’s expected to be charged later tonight.
“About 10:30 a number of police went to the location, the residence and the area was secured and over the follwoing hours, with the assistance of the tactical operations regional support unit, the police negotiators and police dogs were able to peacefully resolve the situation.”
