MAN CHARGED WITH MURDER OF BELMONT MAN
A 35-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Belmont man Wade Still on Monday.
The man attended Belmont Police Station yesterday where he was later arrested and charged.
Police will allege the two men were known to each other.
At 1am on Monday morning, a taxi driver found the body of 23-year-old Mr Still along Oakdale Road at Whitebridge, near Newcastle.
He had suffered extensive burns to his body and died on the way to Royal North Shore Hospital.
The accused was denied bail, and will face Toronto Local Court on Wednesday.
