LOCAL RUGBY CLUB HELPING TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF KIDS IN FIJI

Ballina Rugby Union Club has teamed up with the Waratahs and Melbourne Rebels to donate suitcases full of new equipment to kids in the remote villages of Fiji.
For the past eight years, Gold Coast woman, Charmaine Walker, has been on a rugby crusade, after seeing Fijian kids passing coconuts as rugby balls.
Next month she will travel to the island nation taking 13 suitcases full of gear.
Without the ongoing support from the Ballina Rugby Union Club, she says she wouldn’t be able to support these future rugby stars.
