Police are asking for help after three children were approached by a man in South Grafton.
Just before 3:30 on Friday afternoon, two boys aged 11 and 12 and a 10-year-old girl were walking along Armidale Road when a man asked them to come inside his van.
The children said no and ran away.
The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged between 50 and 60 with balding, grey hair and a goatee.
The vehicle is described as a white van with orange stripes down the side.
