POLO CLUB TO HOLD DROUGHT FUNDRAISER
Despite today’s showers, the big dry is continuing to hit the region hard.
Some local polo players are doing what they can to help out those who are struggling – today launching a fundraiser night to show their support.
“It’s a whole party, a black-tie party, with food, bar, entertainment, an auction and a game of arena polo, and the players will be playing in their dinner suits.”
With the drought taking a toll on those involved in the sport, it’s an issue close to organisers’ hearts.
“People who keep horses, you know they don’t just keep one, they breed horses and they’re affected by the drought just as much as anybody else.”
The event will be held in November, with all proceeds going to Aussie Helpers.
