Inverell police say they’re disappointed by the high number of alcohol-related incidents that occurred over the weekend.
Infringement notices were received for numerous offences, including assaults on police officers, break and enters, threatening businesses and fighting in the CBD.
One incident involved an 18-year-old man throwing a glass at staff from an Inverell hotel after being asked to leave due to intoxication.
And officers will be keeping a close eye on the town, with numbers to be increased over the Christmas and New Year break.
