SOUTHERN LAKES SUBMIT PROPOSAL TO HONOUR DUTCHY HOLLAND

Cricket Southern Lakes have submitted a proposal to Lake Macquarie Council, to rename Awaba Oval in honour of former test player, Robert Dutchy Holland.

Dutchy made his first grade debut at the ground in 1961 and went on to play 440 grade matches, as well as 11 tests for his country.

Now playing as Toronto Workers, the club is hoping to play home games in its 60th season on Robert Holland Oval.
