POTENTIALLY DEADLY ASBESTOS HOME KNOCKED DOWN

A Glendale home full of loose-fill asbestos has been knocked down.
Contractors began demolition works at around 8am – covering the property in air-tight plastic sheeting.
The work is part of the state government’s asbestos buy-back program.
Of the more than 7,000 Hunter residents who have registered to have their homes tested for asbestos – the Glendale property is the only one to test positive.
