A fresh face is set to run for the federal seat of New England, with Clive Palmer’s United Australia Party confirming they’ll put forward a candidate.
Nominations are now open for The Nationals’ New England seat, and Barnaby Joyce has said he’ll put his hand up for preselection.
At this stage, no one has indicated they’ll challenge Mr Joyce for The Nationals’ federal seat.
Meanwhile, MP Kevin Anderson was the only one to nominate as The Nationals’ candidate for Tamworth ahead of the state election.
