Hunter-bred athlete Michael Booth, has finished fifth in the Pro Mens distance race at the 2018 Pacific Paddle Games in California.
Fresh from a win at the Battle of the Bay in San Francisco, he was pushing for the lead early on.
But by the end of the 40 minute race, it was fellow Aussie Connor Baxter who claimed the win, with Booth just missing out on the podium.
He stills leads the Paddle League world rankings.
