COFFS POLICE LOCATE LARGE CANNABIS CROP

Police in Coffs Harbour say they’re yet to make any arrests, after the discovery of a large cannabis crop in the region.
Detectives and officers located the multi-million dollar plantation at the Bongil Bongil National Park on Friday, thanks to a tip-off from the public.
1395 mature cannabis plants with an estimated street value of $2.79-million were seized west of the park near Bellingen.
They’ve since been destroyed.
The latest haul follows the force’s annual crackdown on cannabis on the mid-north coast, which netted more than 3,000 plants last month.
