JAIL FOR MAN AT CENTRE OF TIGHES HILL STANDOFF

The man at the centre of a 17-hour standoff with police in Newcastle, has been handed up to 13-years behind bars.

Ricky Kincheila was sentenced in the District Court this afternoon over the crime spree in March last year, which began on Sydney’s north shore… where he stabbed three people.

He was later found by police at a townhouse at Tighes Hill, but climbed onto the roof – refusing to come down.

Kincheila will spend at least seven years in prison.
