MANSLAUGHTER ACCUSED PLEADS NOT GUILTY, AWAITS TRIAL DATE
A man accused of the manslaughter of a woman at Nundle last year had his case adjourned in Tamworth District Court.
Neil Douglas Morris was charged after a 75-year-old died in hospital, three days after sustaining serious injuries in her Nundle home in July last year.
He was initially charged with failing to provide the necessities of life, which was later withdrawn and he was charged with manslaughter.
Today, the judge questioned whether Tamworth was a suitable place to hold a potential three week trial.
Morris maintains his innocence.
A trial date is expected to be set next Friday.
