2018 ARCHIBALD PRIZE REGIONAL TOUR WILL BEGIN IN TAMWORTH

The prestigious Archibald Prize will soon being touring regional Australia and its first stop will be Tamworth.
Just two years after picking up the paintbrush, David Darcy is making his mark, featuring in the exhibition.
“My subject this year is Charlotte Drake-Brockman and when I moved to Murrurundi I felt like I needed to paint someone local who would help connect me to my new township and the area.”
Gallery Director Bridget Guthrie, is hopeful everyone can come and see the free exhibition, running from December 1 to January 27.
“The calibre of the exhibition this year is absolutely fantastic. It’s an exhibition of international standing and the reputation alone speaks for itself, everyone knows the Archibald Prize.”
