The Hunter certainly didn’t escape today’s heatwave, with a small bushfire breaking out near Toronto at Lake Macquarie on Friday.
With the warm conditions set to remain for most of Saturday, the rural fire service is urging Hunter residents to stay alert, and have their bushfire plan at the ready.
