The Newcastle championship winning men have been named the senior team of the year at today’s New South Wales Basketball Awards.
The Hunters won the Waratah League grand final in August, beating the Norths Bears by six in the decider.
Newcastle teenager Isabel Palmer won the prestigious Lauren Jackson medal, awarded to the best junior female player in country New South Wales.
