DRIVERS ESCAPE SERIOUS INJURY IN TWO SEPARATE CRASHES IN PORT MACQUARIE
Investigations are underway into a crash involving a car and a truck in Port Macquarie.
It’s believed a woman in a sedan, travelling west on the Oxley Highway, lost control and mounted the medium strip, at about 1:30 this afternoon.
“As a result an eastbound truck collided with it sending the vehicle into a spin and into this tree here.” – Paul Dilley, Mid North Coast Highway Patrol.
She was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
It’s the second lucky escape on local roads today.
At around 9am, a woman was forced to veer off the road to avoid hitting a cyclist and an oncoming vehicle on Ocean Drive.
Police have praised her quick thinking and selflessness.
