WOOLLEN MILL CLAIMS GOLD AT STATE TOURISM AWARDS
Nundle has made its name known on the state stage overnight, the town’s Woollen Mill claiming the top gong in the Cultural Tourism section of the New South Wales Tourism Awards.
As one of the last spinning mills in the country, it’s proven a huge drawcard for visitors to Nundle over a number of years.
It’ll now contest the National Awards in held in Tasmania early next year.
Tamworth’s Country Music Festival and Glen Innes’ Celtic Festival were also up for awards last night- but they were toppled by Splendour in the Grass in the Major Festival and Events Category.
