Making a bigger noise than any concert or Supercar ever could on Saturday, the Hornet fighter jet which flew over the circuit just after 3pm.
The spectacular low-level flyover as part of the event took place at close to 1,000 kilometres an hour.
The Hornet made its way over King Edward Park, before returning to RAAF Base Williamtown; presumably in time for the pilot to watch the start of the race.
The jet will fly over at the same time on Sunday.
