BUSHFIRE NEAR ARMIDALE DOWNGRADED
UPDATE:
A bushfire burning in the remote Oxley Wild Rivers National Park near Armidale has been downgraded to an ‘Advice’ level warning, after earlier reaching ‘Watch & Act’ level.

Those on Long Point Road at Hillgrove are advised to be aware of embers, with spot fires starting well ahead of the main front.
Water-bombing aircraft are assisting firefighters in an effort to contain the blaze, which is listed as being ‘out of control’.
It’s already burnt through around 500 hectares of bushland.
