VACANT BLOCK TO BE TRANSFORMED INTO CAR PARK BY 2020
The stress of finding a park at Port Macquarie Base Hospital is something locals know all to well.
The first stage of a $11.5-million upgrade is expected to begin early next year, on a parcel of vacant land near the current carpark.
An additional 113 spaces will be provided for hospital staff.
“It will improve the opportunity for patients to park and access the services at Port Macquarie Base Hospital, which is really critical. There’s nothing worse than trying to get a park when you’re waiting and anxious about your health needs” – Warren Grimshaw, Mid North Coast Health District.
Work is expected to finish up in 20-20.
