WEATHER | INTENSE AREA OF STORMS, SHOWERS & HEAVY RAIN
The summer inland heat is full on now, due to the lack of cloud cover over the nation. As we approach the longest day of the year, this is when extreme heat builds.
There is a weak low in the Great Australian Bight. That low and its associated troughs will produce areas of rain and storms scattered around the country.
Locally, the high humidity along the coast will continue. There will be an area of intense storms and heavy rainfall in central eastern NSW.
Showers and storms with heavy down pours are likely for the southern parts of the North West, Liverpool Plains and Upper Hunter. Fine, warm to hot and mostly sunny for Northern NSW and SE QLD.
