WOMAN ALLEGEDLY DRIVES MORE THAN FIVE TIMES LEGAL LIMIT
Police have charged a 50-year-old woman, after she was allegedly caught driving whilst more than five times the legal limit at Coffs Harbour.
Around 6.30 on Thursday night, a woman was driving along the Pacific Highway.
At the Beryl Street intersection, the car allegedly collided with the rear of a van that was stationary at a red light.
Both drivers got out of their vehicles and after exchanging details, the driver of the van contacted police.
Officers attended the scene and the female driver was breath tested, allegedly recording a positive reading.
She was arrested and taken to Coffs Harbour Police Station, where she allegedly blew 0.252.
Her licence was suspended and she was charged with high-range drink driving, to appear in Coffs Harbour Local Court on February 4.
