FATAL CRASH NORTH OF WARIALDA
A person has died in a single vehicle accident north of Warialda in the state’s north west.
Police say the car ran off Coolatai road at Coolatai, hit a tree and caught fire, at around 9.20 on Friday evening.
They believe the sole occupant was a 22-year-old male, but are awaiting forensic tests to confirm that.
It’s the first fatality on New South Wales roads this festive season, with double demerits in place until midnight on January 1.
