32-YEAR-OLD MAN KILLED AFTER BEING KING HIT

Police have charged two men over the bashing death of a man, on one of Newcastle’s best known streets.

Two brothers were walking along Beaumont Street in Hamilton around three this morning, when they were approached by a group of males – the 32-year-old was punched in the head and fell to the ground.

He was taken to John Hunter Hospital where he was pronounced dead, his 42 year old brother was not injured.

Beaumont Street was closed this morning, as forensic police scoured the scene for clues.

A 25 year old man from Wickham was charged with manslaughter – a 24 year old male has been charged with assault and affray.

  1. i dont think handing yourself in makes you human or any less regretful.. he would only be hoping for a lesser sentence (hope that doesnt happen) he obviously new exactly what he was going to be doing that night… in the article i jsut read, he had his shirt off shadow boxing.. so he was just waitng for the next person to come by before he threw a deadly punch, n that happened to be poor Greg Newton who was the most nicest guy you could ever meet…
