Police are issuing a warning to residents after a number of holiday break and enters.
Officers say while it’s typical at this time of year, we all need to be vigilant when it comes to opportunistic thieves.
“We are seeing high temperatures and certainly people are leaving windows open, doors open which we fully understand but we also need to be very wary of that.”
The advice is to keep valuables out of sight in vehicles, and to lock it or lose it.
“We’d also encourage people to be good neighbours, and be wary of any suspicious activity that might be in your street or your area and if you do notice anything, please contact the police.”
