A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for parts of the Hunter and Mid North Coast.
Damaging winds, large hailstones and heavy rainfall is expected over the next few hours, with multiple locations including Newcastle, Gosford, Singleton & Bulahdelah, likely to be affected.
Flash flooding is also likely in these areas, along with continuing strong winds.
Earlier today, a gust of 98km/h was recorded at Norah Head.
