RAAF FA-18 HORNETS BOUND FOR CANADA
The RAAF’s FA-18 Hornets are bound for a new home in the northern hemisphere.
Defence has confirmed that 25 of the fighter jets will be sold to Canada, as part of a $95-million agreement.
The aircraft will bolster the Canadian Air Force’s ranks, and also be used for spare parts and equipment.
The first Hornet is expected to make the journey across the Pacific by mid-year.
The fighters are being replaced by the F35-A – the first of which arrived in Williamtown last month.
