MAN AIRLIFTED FOLLOWING FALL AT MULLAWAY HEADLAND

There was a delicate rescue operation north of Coffs Harbour on Saturday night, after a 21-year-old man fell from a cliff.

Emergency services were called to Mullaway Headland near Woolgoolga, at around 9 o’clock after reports a man had fallen.

A medical team from the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter assisted local paramedics to stabilise the injured man.

He was eventually winched from the scene, and flown to Coffs Harbour Hospital.

Local SES, RFS, Fire and Rescue NSW and Police were also involved in the rescue.
