JIMMY’S BEACH BY-CATCH – NO CASE TO ANSWER

The Department of Primary Industries says there’s not enough evidence to hold anyone accountable for a dumped by-catch, found at a Hawks Nest beach.

Hundreds of fish and other marine species washed up on Jimmys Beach the weekend before last, causing public outcry.

The DPI says it suspects commercial hauling in the area was the likely cause… but all leads have been exhausted, and no further action will be taken.
