BOY HOSPITALISED AFTER SCHOOL EXPLOSION

A 15-year-old boy has been taken to hospital with minor injuries to his leg, following an explosion in a toilet at Lismore’s Trinity Catholic College this morning,
Emergency services were called to the St Joseph’s site on Leycester Street just before 9:30.
Students were evacuated from the campus.
“They discovered an area within a toilet block that had a number of aerosol cans that had been ignited and there was a little bit of smoke, and soot damage in the area.”
Classes resumed about an hour later.
