Current Situation
There is increased fire activity on the western side of the fireground.
Crews have worked overnight to undertake back burning when conditions have allowed. This work will continue today.
Firefighters will work with Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) today to assess dangerous trees along the Bruxner Highway.
Residents should continue to monitor the situation and take advice from firefighters on the ground.
Advice
If you are in the area of the Bruxner Highway, Old Bruxner Road and Sugarbag Road area, monitor the situation and follow the advice of firefighters. Know what you will do if the fire approaches.
If you are in the area of Kims Road, Leslie Creek Road, Odriscoll Road and Fairfield Road, monitor the situation and follow the advice of firefighters. Know what you will do if the fire approaches.
If you are in the areas of Mud Flat Road and Patemans Road, monitor the situation and know what you will do if the fire approaches.
Bruxner Highway is closed.
