MAN CHARGED FOLLOWING POLICE PURSUIT AT CENTRAL COAST
A 31-year-old man will face court today, charged over a police pursuit on the Central Coast yesterday.
Just after midday, officers from Brisbane Water Police District allegedly saw a Ford Falcon being driven by a disqualified driver, at Niagara Park.
Police say the car sped off, hitting a kerb and blowing two tyres before stopping.
As officers caught up, they say the car reversed and drove away, sparking a pursuit.
The vehicle was eventually found abandoned, with two people seen running into nearby bushland.
Officers say they found a white powder, white crystals believed to be ‘ICE’, and prescription drugs inside.
At around 1.20 am today, officers attended a Gosford club, where the man was arrested.
He was taken to Gosford Police Station, and charged with multiple drug and driving offences.
