MIXED NIGHT FOR THE HUNTERS AT HOME

A mixed weekend for the Newcastle Hunters with the women’s side hammering the Comets, while the men lost by four.
Despite losing Susie Walmsley to injury, the Hunters women were always in control.
Charlotte Bull got Newcastle off to a great start, before Sophie Kleeman took over, scoring a game high 27.
Sophie Parente chipped in a valuable 18 points and seven rebounds.
The men’s side was on top for three quarters against the high flying Comets, with Jon Howe and Steve Davis both on target for the Hunters.
Despite having fresh legs on the bench, Newcastle ran out of puff in the final minutes.
