Court sitting days in the Hunter are set for a boost, with a magistrate to call Muswellbrook home for the first time.
An additional 225 sitting days will take place every year, across six courts.
Cessnock will benefit from an additional 60 days, Muswellbrook, Singleton and Toronto will have an extra 48, while Tamworth and Belmont will see 24 more.
The new circuit will start from July 1, bringing the number of Local Court magistrates in the Hunter to nine.
