A Umina Beach man charged with assaulting a police officer at a bucks party last month, has faced court for the first time today.
34 year old Luke Maloney allegedly tried to choke the officer, during a drunken scuffle outside a hotel at Patonga on February 23, until a nearby security guard intervened.
The case will return to Gosford Local Court, on April 4.
