NEW GEAR FOR RURAL FIRE SERVICE

Rural Fire Service volunteers in the Clarence Valley will benefit from a new round of funding for the north coast.

The brigades will share in $14-million made available to RFS units by the state government.

The money will be used to purchase new equipment and fund training for the volunteer fire fighters.

Money has also been provided to brigades for survival plans and other information to help residents protect their property.
