RELIEF FOR FARMERS AS RAIN FALLS ACROSS NEW SOUTH WALES
Rain is continuing to fall across many rural parts of New South Wales, with some locations receiving in excess of 100 millimetres.
In the 24-hours to 9am this morning, Merriwa in the Upper Hunter recorded just over 100 millimetres, while further west at Cassilis 128 millimetres was recorded in the rain gauge.
Other totals across the region included:
Narrabri – 49mm
Gunnedah – 81mm
Tamworth – 46mm
Scone – 82mm
65mm just tipped out of my rain gauge in Scone and more to come. Best rain event in 2 years here!! 🌧

Nobbys Head – 29mm
More falls are expected today, with the rain band moving further north.
A number of roads have been closed due to flooding, including Merriwa to Willow Tree Road.
