Spirits were high at the Umina Beach Recreation Hub today, with news more than $8.2 million in federal funding has been secured to upgrade the facility.
It follows a two year campaign by a local community group consulting users from skaters to soccer players.
It’s hoped the cash will fund a world-class skating facility, brand new club houses and lighting, among other upgrades.
