A Guyra woman has been released on bail, after lodging an appeal against her 18-month prison sentence for fraud.
47-year-old Edna Mary Mendes was previously convicted of stealing almost $90,000 from an Armidale earthmoving business – secretly paying herself additional wages.
After pleading guilty to the offences and paying back the money, she argued her sentence was “too severe.”
Her appeal will be heard in Armidale District Court later this month.
