NEW RUN ADDS HALF MARATHON TO RACE

The marks have been set for the annual NewRun race in Newcastle, as part of the Festival of Running.

From a two-kilometre race for kids to a first-time marathon stretch; hundreds will lace up their runners on Sunday to take part.

The event will also include a 10 kilometre Hill-to-Harbour race, and more than a thousand participants have signed up.

The first of five races will begin at 6 o’clock in the morning.
