It’s caps off at the University of Newcastle right now, as thousands of students walk away as graduates.
among them, Jets player Tara Andrews, who completed her Civil Engineering degree with first-class honours.
“A few times throughout it got very hard and very hard to juggle everything and I thought you know is this the right degree for me? Is this what I want to do? It was hard but yeah kind of just worked my way through it and got through it in the end.”
Also graduating today, eight Indigenous medical students, bringing the total number to have passed through the uni to 105.
