FOUR TEENS CHARGED AFTER PACIFIC HIGHWAY PURSUIT
Four teenagers, the youngest aged just 13, have been charged after two separate police pursuits on the state’s north coast.
The group from Queensland were arrested at Bom Bom near Grafton on Saturday evening, after police deployed road spikes to stop the Mazda they were travelling in.
It’s alleged the car, which was believed to be stolen, had failed to stop for police on the Pacific Highway at Dirty Creek, before a pursuit began.
The chase was stopped for safety reasons, but was initiated again a short time later.
Coming to an end when police used road spikes to stop the vehicle at Bom Bom.
The alleged driver of the CX5, a 16-year-old boy was charged with a string of offences including driving in a dangerous manner.
A second 16-year-old boy, along with two girls, aged 13 and 15, were charged with carried in conveyance without consent.
All four are due back in court later today.
