43-YEAR-OLD CAUGHT 52KM/H OVER SPEED LIMIT ON NELSON BAY ROAD
A motorbike rider has lost his license and been fined almost $2,500, after he was detected riding more than 50km/h over the speed limit at Port Stephens.
Police patrolling along Nelson Bay Road at Bobs Farm spotted the 43-year-old, travelling at 132 km/h in an 80km/h zone at around 7 o’clock on Sunday evening.
He was was stopped and issued a penalty notice, which carried a fine of $2435 and 12 demerit points.
His licence was suspended on the spot.
